Qui a peint quoi, en fait ? <\/em><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le catalogue de 1988 cite, parmi les \u0153uvres de Rubens, un \u2018<em>Christ crucifi\u00e9 entre deux malfaiteurs\u2019<\/em>, connu comme \u2018<em>Le coup de lance\u2019<\/em>. Dans la salle 2.2 du mus\u00e9e, le panneau actuel dit \u2018Anthony Van Dyck dans l&rsquo;atelier de Pierre Paul Rubens\u2019, alors que jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 r\u00e9cemment, il \u00e9tait au nom de ce dernier.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le commanditaire de ce tableau \u00e9tait le bourgmestre d\u2019Anvers et m\u00e9c\u00e8ne Nicolas Rockox, qui l&rsquo;avait destin\u00e9 vers 1619-1620 au ma\u00eetre-autel de l&rsquo;\u00e9glise des Fr\u00e8res mineurs (aujourd&rsquo;hui: l&rsquo;Acad\u00e9mie, Mutsaardstraat).<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">C&rsquo;\u00e9tait peu de temps avant le grand projet de d\u00e9coration des plafonds \u00e0 Saint-Charles-Borrom\u00e9e, dont le contrat de Rubens avec les j\u00e9suites mentionne explicitement Anthony van Dyck.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Peut-on accepter qu&rsquo;une association coop\u00e9rative soit \u00e0 l&rsquo;\u0153uvre ici ? Se souvient-on seulement du r\u00e9alisateur d&rsquo;un film\u00a0? Et qu&rsquo;en est-il du sc\u00e9nariste, du producteur ?<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sur le plan du contenu de ce tableau, il nous apprend \u00e0 voir l&rsquo;imagination de Rubens \u00e0 l\u2019\u0153uvre: le moment crucial est celui o\u00f9 le centurion, pour constat de la mort, perce la c\u00f4te du Crucifi\u00e9 d\u00e9j\u00e0 blafard d&rsquo;un puissant coup; et \u00ab<em>aussit\u00f4t le sang et l&rsquo;eau coul\u00e8rent\u00bb <\/em>(Jean, 19, 34). Marie-Madeleine proteste contre cette violence insens\u00e9e dans un contre-mouvement; Jean et Marie pr\u00e9f\u00e9reraient ne pas voir cette blessure suppl\u00e9mentaire. Au m\u00eame moment, les jambes des malfaiteurs sont cass\u00e9es afin d&rsquo;acc\u00e9l\u00e9rer le processus de leur mort. Leurs corps tordus contrastent dans la composition avec les lignes droites des croix, des lances, de l&rsquo;\u00e9chelle et des jambes des chevaux; seul J\u00e9sus est maintenant immobile. La lumi\u00e8re revient dans le ciel nuageux: l&rsquo;\u00e9clipse solaire mentionn\u00e9e dans les \u00e9vangiles touche \u00e0 sa fin.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Les spectateurs, situ\u00e9s plus bas, apportent du relief dans la repr\u00e9sentation. Leurs images sont un peu floues, mais c&rsquo;est peut-\u00eatre le but: pour qu\u2019ils soient les personnages auxquels le spectateur s&rsquo;identifie. L&rsquo;approche scientifique, au microscope, aux rayons X, \u00e0 la lumi\u00e8re infrarouge, nous apprend \u00e0 identifier l&rsquo;\u00e9criture des peintres individuels, soit du ma\u00eetre soit des \u00e9l\u00e8ves, mais cela laissait les peintres d\u2019antan largement indiff\u00e9rents.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Nous reparlerons de cette \u0153uvre \u00e0 trois endroits de notre itin\u00e9raire: \u00e0 la Mutsaardstraat, pr\u00e8s de \u2018<em>L\u2019Erection de la croix\u2019 <\/em>de Rubens dans la cath\u00e9drale Notre-Dame, et pr\u00e8s du <em>\u2018Christ en Croix\u2019<\/em> de Jordaens dans l&rsquo;\u00e9glise Saint-Paul.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #008000;\"><strong>Continuez votre visite
